Two of them, both strictly necessary, none for advertising. That is the whole list and it is why you never see a consent banner here.
Plain English · This text has not been reviewed by a lawyer. It is published so the rules are readable before anyone is asked for money. Where it is unclear, the plainest reading against us is the one we will apply.
What we set
A session cookie, so that you stay signed in after clicking the link we email you. It holds a random identifier, not your email address. It expires when your session ends or when you sign out.
A preferences cookie, so that the site remembers your language and theme. It holds nothing that identifies you.
What we do not set
No advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, no third-party analytics that profile you, no pixels from social networks.
This is why we do not show a cookie banner. Under EU law, cookies that are strictly necessary to deliver a service you asked for do not need consent, and those are the only ones we use. If that ever changes, a banner appears and we ask you properly.
Cookies set by others
When you pay, our payment provider (Stripe) may set its own cookies on the checkout step in order to detect fraud. We do not control those and do not receive what they contain. Stripe's own privacy notice covers them.
Turning them off
Your browser can block or delete cookies for this site at any time. Blocking the preferences cookie only means the site forgets your language and theme.
Blocking the session cookie means you cannot stay signed in, and therefore cannot buy or manage a faction. There is no way around that: it is the cookie that proves it is still you between one page and the next.
